Everything has been thought of so that you can lean into “hygge”, (a centuries old Scandinavian concept that is used to describe a moment or feeling that is cozy, special, or charming.) Drawing from her experience in real estate and her Swedish roots, the owner has added touches that make you feel the epitome of contentment evoked by simple comforts, like being wrapped in a blanket, having good conversations over good food. From leather couches for lounging to plush towels and bedding, everything has been thought of for you to enjoy your time at the river.
Guests can spread out between the main home (where the primary bedroom with a King-sized bed is) and the cottage, which offers its own bathroom, queen bed, and day bed. There is plenty of layered areas to lounge outside and within the main home! Whether you are enjoying summer while floating the river or cozying up to the wood burning fire in the colder months, the Rio Haus welcomes you home to enjoy the beauty of the Russian River Valley.
